Autumn – The Person, Not the Season

Autumn would have long auburn hair that she wears in braids that flow down her back. She would wear knit sweaters and smell like cinnamon. She would be quiet but smart, and an intense overachiever. She would enjoy reading poetry and old novels and speak in a hushed tone.

She would always be calm and polite and would handle problems with grace. Besides reading and baking, her favourite hobby would be something quirky like pressing flowers into books and collecting them.

She would drink chai lattes and write down her every thought so she could look back on it later. Autumn would be good at painting and all forms of art you can think of, and listen to old music in her headphones.

She'd be introverted and have only a handful of close friends that she spends her time with. When you first met her she would seem quiet and shy, but when you got to know her and she started to open up, you would discover that it's not because she has nothing to say – its because she's too scared to say it.

She would have a slightly weird taste in fashion, yet her outfits would always come together perfectly in ways you've never thought of. Autumn would be a great listener and give the best advice. She would own an unnecessarily high number of scented candles, and smile with her eyes.

Autumn would have a soft, delicate beauty. She would love long walks through nature and always hug like she meant it. She would be the friend that notices when you're ever so slightly off and own a pair of converses in every one of her favourite colours. And a pair of worn-out Doc Martins.

Cats would be her favourite animal, and she would wear ribbons in her hair. She'd have read all the Harry Potter novels and have seen all the movies a thousand times. She wouldn't be good at sport, in fact her least favourite subject would probably be PE, since she'd be good at all the rest. But she would know how to crochet, knit or something else cute like they are, and be good at playing music but be humble about her skills.

She would be a lover girl and have lots of big dreams for her future, and her favourite TV show would be Gilmore Girls – her favourite movie any romantic comedy. It wouldn't matter which one, she'd have seen them all.
