Summer – The Person, Not the Season

Summer would have long, blonde hair, wavy from the salty water she swims in, that she wears either down or in a messy bun atop her head. She would live in oversized band t-shirts that she tosses over her bikinis, and wear the lingering scent of the ocean, mixed with her fruity perfume. She would be average in her studies but have not a care in the world about school.

She would speak loudly and happily and would be constantly introducing you to her newest favourite pop artist. Music would be her world, and she'd probably play the guitar.

She would be the centre of attention everywhere she went and not even realise how her lively energy drew people in. She'd love to surf early in the mornings and her favourite mode of transport would be her old skateboard, decorated with stickers she's acquired over many years.

She would live off soft drink and be the kind of girl to send texts in the form of numerous one-liners rather than just a paragraph. Summer would be naturally good at every sport she tried, and the most carefree, down to earth person you've ever met.

She would rarely be home, always out with her big friend group that she wouldn't dare go anywhere without. When she would decide to spend time at her house rather than out, her parents would never be surprised when she had invited someone to come with her.

If there was a club for extroverts, she'd be the president.

Summer would talk your ear off every time she was with you, making you question how she doesn't run out of air and still manages to find something new to say. She'd have the best jokes when she finally got them out in between her own laughter, and would be addicted to buying even more tote bags to add to her collection, despite the fact that they already crowd her cupboard.

Summer's favourite activity, other than of course frequenting the beach, would be going to the cinema to see all the latest releases. She'd always have a sunburn that she called being sun-kissed, and would have more freckles than you thought to be humanly possible.

She'd have no idea what her future career held for her, only that she'd spend a very long time travelling before she discovered. Her favourite TV show would be Outer Banks, not only because of the similar nature of hers and the characters lives, but because she saw herself in them. She'd love dogs, collect shells, and, if it were up to her, the most important food group would be ice-cream.
